Bali Holiday Guide

Bali Holiday Guide Bali is a favourite holiday destination for thousands of travellers each year. With its close proximity to Australia and nearby countries, it makes for an affordable holiday that caters to just about any traveller. Whether you’re looking to relax by the beach or experience culture and adventure, Bali has something to offer everyone. Here’s a few of our favourite places to visit and things to do in Bali.

Kuta

Without a doubt, Kuta is the tourism capital of Bali, alongside Denpasar. With bars, restaurants and shops lining Kuta’s main street, it’s easy to spend days shopping for cheap clothes and accessories, dining on fresh seafood and enjoying cheap cocktails. If you want to explore its surrounds, you can hire a scooter for as little as 60,000 Rupiah. Don’t travel too far however, as it is actually illegal to ride them through Bali without a licence, even though they happily rent them out to plenty of tourists every day.

Ubud

Ubud is home to the famous monkey forest, a must see when you head to Bali. Be sure to get some bananas when you enter the forest to feed the monkeys, however don’t hang onto them if they’re eyeing one off, because they will do all they can to get their hands on it! The streets of Ubud are one of the central arts and crafts regions within Bali, so we also recommend you take a stroll through the region and look at the fine arts and crafts on offer at great prices.

Bali Safari & Marine Park

The Bali Safari and Marine Park is definitely something you can’t go past. With piranhas, white tigers, rhino’s and adorable orang-utans, the park offers some amazing, memorable experiences. While there, be sure to do two things; an elephant ride through their safari-style park and have lunch or dinner in the Tsavo Lion Restaurant, which sees you eating within full-length glass walls next to a pack of lions. If you’re lucky, they’ll also feed them while you’re there.

Something you won’t have the chance to experience in many other countries is your restaurant table in the sand, watching the sun set while being served fantastic cocktails and amazing seafood. It’s an experience that you won’t forget and is especially worth the trip if travelling with a loved one.

These are just a few of the great places to visit on your Bali holiday, with a list of great attractions longer than you can imagine. Cheap flights to Bali are becoming a regular occurrence, so be spontaneous and grab them when the opportunity arises. You’ll be sure to enjoy yourself and have a great time at next to nothing!
